Handwoven craftsmanship made in Amsterdam

At the age of eleven, I started working with my mother’s Swedish weaving loom and crafted placemats, table runners, rugs and other fabrics. Soon, my children’s room was transformed into a world of textile. During school holidays I attended and later also assisted courses at the weaving studio Susanne Hepfinger in southern Germany. After graduation from secondary school, I successfully completed a three-year apprenticeship as a hand-weaver in 1989 and was awarded the “gold medal” for craftsmanship. Afterwards, during my studies at the Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague, Netherlands, I focussed on various art projects. In January 2016, I realized my long-cherished wish and opened my own hand-weaving studio, now being able to combine my craftsmanship with my artistic work.

I speak Dutch, German and English and place great importance on fast, clear and open communication. So please do contact me with any questions or ideas you may have.
