Handwoven craftsmanship made in Amsterdam

At the age of eleven, I, Eva Klee, started working with my mother’s Swedish weaving loom and crafted placemats, table runners, rugs and other fabrics. Soon, my children’s room was transformed into a world of textile. During school holidays I attended and later also assisted courses at the weaving studio Susanne Hepfinger in southern Germany. After graduation from secondary school, I successfully completed a three-year apprenticeship as a hand-weaver in 1989 and was awarded the “gold medal” for craftsmanship. Afterwards, during my studies at the Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague, Netherlands, I focussed on various art projects. In January 2016, I realized my long-cherished wish and opened my own hand-weaving studio, now being able to combine my craftsmanship with my artistic work.

I speak Dutch, German and English and place great importance on fast, clear and open communication. So please do contact me with any questions or ideas you may have.
